UPDATE: Woman dies from injuries in crash on U.S. 54

A woman who was severely injured in a crash Jan. 16 in Northeast El Paso had died.

The early morning rollover sent the 28-year-old woman to the hospital to life threatening injuries.

According to police, the unidentified woman lost control of her car causing it to rollover several times. She was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle.

Both the driver and the passenger were transported to University Medical Center. The driver suffered life threatening injuries and the passenger, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.
