‘Kids Excel’ program teaches discipline through dance

More than a dozen kids who signed up for the summer program at ‘Kids Excel’ performed for their parents Friday.

This is the first year “Kids Excel” holds a summer camp, but the program is in 32 area elementary schools.

Staff teach kids self-confidence and self discipline through dance!

They also got to slip into Gene Kelly’s tap shoes and learned to “Sing in the Rain.”

Later, they performed to Justin Timberlake’s “Don’t hold the Wall,” with some hip-hop moves like the “whip” and “dab.”

By the way, July 30th is National Dance Day, a perfect time to start working on those moves!
