Lifeguard Olympics to kick off at Wet N’ Wild Waterworld

el paso parks and recreation chandra edwards cottingham president, wet and wild waterworld the 7th annual christian castle lifeguard olympus will be on sunday august 7 at wet and wild waterworld starting at 730am wet and wild has been the gracious hosts for the last 4 years and the olymoics are named after christian castle the son of laura and eddie castke who passed away several years ago and this event is in his honor the competition among area lifeguards from wet and wild, fort bliss, ywca, country clubs , private swim clubs, nmsu, ymca, county pools, and el paso parks and recreation there are 8 different events highlighting the safety skills lifeguards use everyday and more from first aid to diving in the water for to lift a submerged victim to reduce to swimming against the waves and an obstacle course like no other there will be 40 teams and each team is made up of 4 individuals with
