Toddler in critical condition after nearly drowning in Northeast El Paso

Paramedics rushed a 2-year-old girl to Sierra Providence in serious condition after she nearly drowned, according to a spokesperson with the El Paso Fire Department.

A fire dispatch fire supervisor confirms the near drowning happened Tuesday afternoon around 4 p.m. at 6111 Sun Valley Drive. The location is a mobile home park in Northeast El Paso.

An officer with the El Paso Police Department on scene told an ABC-7 photographer that the near drowning happened at an outside pool.

Signs at the gated pool state that no lifeguard is on duty, and that patrons must swim at their own risk.
