Facebook to open data center in Los Lunas
Mark Zuckerberg announced on Facebook Wednesday that the company will be opening a data center in Los Lunas.
Los Lunas is located just south of Albuquerque.
On his post, Zuckerberg said the new data center is the seventh for Facebook and will be powered by 100 percent renewable energy.
The post went on to say that the Los Lunas Data Center will be one of the most advanced and energy-efficient data centers in the world.
“We’re glad to be investing in New Mexico, to become part of the Los Lunas community, and to continue building the massive infrastructure that connects our global community,” Zukerberg said.
