NMSU improves to 2-1 on year after topping Samford

Fueled by Eli chuha’s 16 points and 13 rebounds, the New Mexico State Aggies were able to pull away from Samford on the hardwood to earn their second win of the young season.

The victory didn’t come without some struggles though, as the Aggies only led by 4 at the half. Not to mention star guard Ian Baker only shot 3-12 from the field good enough for 9 points.

There is clearly more work to be done under new Head Coach Paul Weir, but for now the focus will turn to 2-0 New Mexico this upcoming Friday.
