El Dorado High classroom aide accused of sexually assaulting student

Detectives with the Crimes Against Children (CAC) Unit arrested David Efren Ordaz, 43, and charged him with Sexual Assault of Child and Improper Relationship between Educator/Student.

Detectives were called to investigate the alleged sexual assault Monday, October 10, 2016.

Investigators identified Ordaz as a classroom aide at El Dorado High School. The investigation revealed Ordaz had an improper relationship with a student, while acting as an employee at the school.

The victim is a 16-year old girl, police said. Ordaz worked as a classroom aide in between 2012 and 2016, a district spokesman told ABC-7.

Ordaz, no longer employed by the Socorro ISD, was booked into the El Paso County Jail on Wednesday, November 16, 2016. His bonds total $150,000.
