SWAT situation in East El Paso ends with one in custody El Paso Police officials said SWAT officers and the gang unit attempted to serve a felony warrant to 39 year old Aaron Gonzalez Friday evening that lead to an hours-long standoff. Police told ABC-7 that Gonzalez barricaded himself in his home at the Cantera Apartments on the 1500 block of Lomaland in East El Paso after the officers approached around 5:30 p.m. Friday. Police were able to get Gonzalez out of the apartment around 9:30 p.m. that night. Police did not evacuate the complex and there were no injuries. Gonzalez was wanted for illegal possession of a firearm and possession of methamphetamine. According to police, Gonzalez is a known gang member.
