Fire damages home; Go Fund Me account set up to help family

The El Paso Fire Department is investigating how a home in the Lower Valley caught fire Monday.

It happened around 2 in the afternoon on the 1100 block of Hawaii, not too far from EPCC’s Valle Verde Campus.

A fire spokesman says a neighbor called after seeing flames in the back of the home.

A bedroom and a car were burnt. Damage is estimated at $10,000.

The family told ABC-7 they need help with repairs and getting clothes.
