One person injured in Northeast El Paso apartment fire

The El Paso Fire Department said the fire started around 11:50 Saturday night at the Ximena Apartments. The apartments are located at the 8600 block of Robert Drive at Lawrence Avenue. Crews were able to put out the fire at 1:09 Sunday morning. Emergency dispatch tells ABC-7 one person was injured, we’re working to find out the extent of their injuries. Fire officials said 4 apartment units were affected and the fire displaced 4 occupants. ABC-7 is told the Red Cross is assisting to help the displaced occupants. The Fire Department has not yet said what caused the fire. ABC-7 will update this article as soon as more information becomes available.
