Couple allegedly steals $2,000 worth of Levi’s jeans from LC Sears

Investigators are asking for the public’s help identifying a couple suspected of stealing a large amount of denim-wear from Sears.

Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that helps lead to an arrest and conviction.

The alleged shoplifting happened shortly before 6 p.m. Sunday, December 11th.

Police said a young man and woman entered the Sears department store at the Mesilla Valley Mall, loaded several pair of Levi’s denim jeans into a large duffel bag and then left the store without paying for the merchandise.

The couple is suspected of stealing about 30 pair of Levi’s jeans, about $2,000 worth of merchandise, police said. They were last seeing leaving the parking lot in a red Volkswagen Jetta.

Investigators have reason to believe the couple may reside in Alamogordo, N.M., or possibly frequent that city.
