January 6th road closures

There are some changes to road closures for the last day of the work week, here is a list of the ones most likely to affect your commute.

Overnight closures:

9 pm – 5 am

I-10 westbound at the Mesa Exit and entrance will be completely closed. I-10 East will be reduced to one lane at the Mesa exit and entrance.

9 am – 4 pm

I-10 Eastbound will be reduced to one lane between Mesa exit and the Sunland Park exit.

9 pm – 5 am

I-10 Eastbound will no longer be completely closed after the Sunland park exit. It will be reduced for traffic to flow through but only through the left lane, while this may cause a delay for morning commuters it will improve how morning traffic gets to work.

Daytime closures:

9 am – 4 pm

I-10 Eastbound will be reduced to one lane between North Mesa overpass, and Resler overpass.

9 am – 3 pm

Alternate lane closures on I-10 east and westbound between Anthony and Sunland Park.
Alternate lane closures on Transmountain (loop 375) east and westbound between US-54 and I-10.

Right lane closure on Cesar Chavez-Border highway (loop 375) westbound between US-54 and Yarbrough Dr.

9 am – 12 pm

Westbound right lane from Spur 1966 to Ruhlen Ct.

Horizon City:

The Eastlake Phase 1 project has begun and is expected to last 120 days. Traffic is becoming an issue at N. Darrington all the way up to Pelicano. Avoid the area if possible.
