Closures in El Paso in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day
City Hall and all City department administrative offices will be closed Monday, January 16th in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The closures will end on Tuesday and offices will reopen at 7 a.m. and resume regular business hours.
The following services and facilities will be closed on Monday:
· El Paso Museum of Art
· El Paso Museum of Archaeology
· El Paso Museum of History and DIGIE
· El Paso Public Libraries
· El Paso Senior Centers
· Parks and Recreation pre-school and daycare programs
· Greater El Paso Landfill
· Citizen Collection Stations
· Municipal Court
· Public Health
The following places will remain open on Monday:
· Animal Services Shelter
· El Paso Zoo
· Indoor and outdoor aquatic centers and pools
· Recreation Centers (1pm- 6pm):
o Armijo
o Galatzan
o Gary del Palacio
o Leona F. Washington
o Marty Robbins
o Pavo Real
o Veterans
*Residential trash and recycling collections are not impacted by the holiday. Trash and recyclables are
normally not collected on Mondays.
