Fabens teacher arrested, accused of having improper relationship with student

An El Paso educator was booked into the county jail on a half a million dollar bond after he was arrested and charged with having an improper relationship with a student.

Kenneth Evans, 31, was arrested at his home on the 3200 block of Sunset Point.

The Fabens Independent School District website shows Evans is an educator at Fabens High School.

Evans was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility on one count of Improper Relationship Between Educator and Student.

A complaint affidavit obtained by ABC-7 contains very little information on the case although it does state Evans had a relationship with a 16-year-old student in 2015.

It also states Evans was a wrestling coach in addition to his teaching duties at the school.
