UTEP crushes Marshall on the road to move to 4-4 in C-USA play

UTEP entered the night as a 14-point underdog against Marshall and left with a dominant 23-point win.

UTEP outscored the Thundering Herd by double digits in boths halves (10 in the first, 13 in the second) en route to a 91-68 victory.

With the win the Miners are now 4-4 in C-USA play.

Marshall had not lost a game at home this entire season, while UTEP had not won a game on the road until Saturday’s tilt in Huntington.

Matt Willms led the way for UTEP in the scoring department with 25 points, while Dominic Artis added 24 of his own to go along with 11 rebounds.

The Miners out-rebounded the Herd 45-29 on the evening, offsetting a poor 1-9 performance from beyond the arc.

UTEP is home Feb. 2 against UAB and then again on Feb. 4 against Middle Tennessee.
