Woman wanted in failed home invasion captured in Ruidoso

The woman wanted in connection with a failed home invasion in Alamogordo was arrested in Ruidoso Tuesday, investigators said.

Crystal Silva was jailed at the Lincoln County Detention Center on a $10,000 cash only bond. Silva is charged with Attempted Aggravated Burglary with a Deadly Firearm and Conspiracy to Commit Aggravated Burglary with a Deadly Firearm.

Investigators received a tip on Silva’s whereabouts and she was “arrested without incident,” police said.

Four of the five suspects allegedly involved are behind bars. Investigators are still looking for Jason Enjady.

At approximately 9:00 pm on February 2, 2017, officers responded to the 2000 block of Stanford Avenue in reference to an attempted home invasion.

Surveillance video allegedly shows Silva knocking on the door. When someone inside answers, a dog runs out and starts barking at people not seen in the video. Moments later, three armed men walk towards the door and the person inside quickly closes the door. The men are seen trying to force their way into the home before running away.

Police said an investigation revealed the suspects specifically targeted the home.
