Man hospitalized after shooting in Far East El Paso

A man is in the hospital after a shooting in Far East El Paso, according to police.

The incident happened around 10:30 p.m. Sunday night on the 14000 block of Tierra Halcon, near Chester E. Jordan Elementary School.

Neighbors who live in the area called ABC-7, saying that they heard shots being fired. Police later confirmed with ABC-7 that the investigation was related to a shooting.

Police say the victim was taken to Del Sol Medical Center. Emergency dispatchers say the victim was in serious condition. Police also confirm another man was taken into custody.
