Police: Driver struck pedestrian in strip club parking lot, drove away

Police arrested and charged a man who allegedly struck a pedestrian in a parking lot, drove away, then walked back to the scene.

George Galvan, 23, is charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.

Police said Galvan was driving a grey 2007 Toyota Camry in the parking lot of the Tequila Sunrise at 11701 Gateway West.

At about 2:10 am, Galvan allegedly struck 34-year-old Lee Tate, who sustained a serious leg injury that required treatment at Del Sol Medical Center.

Police said Galvan fled the scene, parked his vehicle in a parking lot on the 11400 block of Chito Samaniego, and later walked back to Tequila Sunrise.

Witnesses at the scene held Galvan until police arrived.

Galvan was booked into the county jail on a $20,000 bond.
