Man accused of sexually assaulting children, distributing child porn

A Las Cruces man is accused of sexually assaulting two children and distributing child porn.

Christopher T. Manuel is charged with three counts of Sexual Exploitation of Children (Possession, Manufacturing, and Recording), Criminal Sexual Penetration in the First Degree, and Criminal Sexual Contact of a Minor in the Second Degree.

A court document obtained by ABC-7 states investigators received a “cybertip” from Google stating child porn files were uploaded with the email address “ehnoack31@gmail.com,” allegedly linked to Manuel’s Facebook account.

The IP address of the computer allegedly used to upload the child porn is registered to Manuel’s fiancee, court documents state.

The address was traced to a home on the 1500 block of Mariposa Drive. A police spokesman told ABC-7 Manuel lived with his fiancee at the home and the fiancee’s mother operated a home daycare at that location.

No charges have been filed against Manuel’s fiancee or the woman’s mother.

The photos allegedly uploaded by Manuel show a “prepubescent girl” performing lewd acts, court documents state.

After he was arrested, Manuel allegedly acknowledged the email address “ehnoack31@gmail.com” was his. When Google shut down the address, Manuel allegedly set up another email address: ehnoack96@yahoo.com.

Court documents state Manuel told investigators his “sexual urges” began at the age of 16 when he sexually assaulted a 4-year-old boy.

Under interrogation, Manuel allegedly admitted to sexually abusing a 3-year-old girl in 2016.
