Kids take over downtown El Paso for 10th annual Kidspalooza
Downtown El Paso was transformed into a playground for the 10th straight year.
Hundreds of kids and their families took part in the annual “Kidspalooza” — an event hosted by the El Paso Symphony Orchestra.
There were games, prizes. circus performers and even a Star Wars concert. The biggest attraction though was the balloon stand.
“It’s magic. That’s what I grew up on,” TyTy the Party Guy, a performer of at the event said. “Ballons have just a bit of magic to it, and the flare and the quickness in which I create them — with a little bit of style as well. they’re really magical I feel.”
John Downey took his daughter to the event, and he said he goes every year.
“It’s well worth it. It’s a lot of fun. The kids all enjoy it, the families all enjoy it,” Downey said. “It’s a great thing that the city and all of the sponsors do for the city of El Paso.”
Anna Villaronga was visiting from Houston. She said the event was a great way for her to explore the city.
“I love it. We are in love with El Paso. We couldn’t ask for a better weekend, a better day — it’s gorgeous,” Villaronga said. “I’m in the arts and culture business myself so when I see something like this Kidspalooza — I’m just really wowed.”
