David Blaine to bring his magic show to El Paso

Magician, illusionist and stunt artist David Blaine will come to El Paso on his first-ever North American tour.

Blaine is scheduled to perform at the Plaza Theatre in El Paso on Friday, July 21, at 8 p.m.

The 40-city tour kicks off in May and it includes shows throughout North America.

Organizers said the tour will evolve as it moves across the country. They say no two shows will be exactly the same.

Over the last two decades, Blaine’s nine primetime specials have seen him being buried alive in New York City for a week, encased inside a six-ton block of ice for three days, survived standing atop a 100 foot tall pillar for 36 hours without a safety net, endured 44 days inside a transparent box in London with nothing but water, and had over one million volts discharged at him continuously for 72 hours from seven Tesla coils.

Tickets for David Blaine go on sale to the general public on Friday, March 31 at 10 a.m. and range in price from $49.50 to $89.50 plus taxes and fees.

Tickets can be purchased at Ticketmaster.com, all Ticketmaster outlets, charge-by-phone at 800-745-3000, the Plaza Theatre Box Office and at LiveNation.com and on the Live Nation app.
