Man found dead in car wash bay; witnesses report hit-and-run

The police department’s Crimes Against Persons Unit and Special Traffic Investigators are investigating the death of a pedestrian in El Paso’s Lower Valley.

Police said the body of a man in his 50s was discovered Thursday morning in a car wash bay at 1206 Giles.

Witnesses reported seeing a woman driving a white SUV striking the victim with the vehicle and leaving the scene without stopping.
