LATEST RESULTS: Margo’s commanding lead remains intact

The latest election results released at 8 pm show show Dee Margo holding on to his commanding lead over David Saucedo in the El Paso Mayoral Election.

Margo has received 10,649 votes, about 60 percent of the vote. Saucedo received 7,244 votes, about 40 percent.

“The money component – being outspent almost three to one – made it incredibly difficult,” Saucedo said soon after early voting results were released.

Saucedo further stated, “I just want El Paso to be successful. I wish Dee Margo nothing but the best. If he is successful, then El Paso will be successful. It’s not about egos, it’s about being the best mayor for El Paso and if I can help him in any way, I’m ready to do it.”
