Family sets up GoFundMe page after tragic accident kills father and daughter

A GoFundMe account has been set up from the Clemente Family.

Maurella Clemente and her father Jose Manuel Clemente died in a crash on Monday after a dust storm swept through I-10 near Lordsburg, New Mexico. The dust storm caused a 26-car pileup that killed six people.

The GoFundMe account says Maurella left behind her 10-year-old son AJ and husband Adrian who served in the U.S. Army for 20 years.

Family members say Maurella was involved in the PTA and volunteered to assist military families during deployments.

The GoFundMe page says Maurella’s son and husband were also involved in the accident and are currently being treated for injuries.

Maurella’s mother Consuelo was also in the car during the collision. She is currently in ICU.

Maurella’s father Jose Manuel also died in the accident. He is a veteran of the Vietnam War and a Purple Heart and Bronze Medal Recipient

Family members tell ABC-7 they were headed to Puerto Penasco, Mexico, for a family vacation they had planned months in advance.

The GoFundMe page say the donations will assist with immediate funeral expenses, and future medical expenses for the three survivors.
