Las Cruces man accused of sexually assaulting girl

Doña Ana County Sheriff’s detectives arrested a Las Cruces area man Monday evening after a girl accused him of sexually assaulting her over a period of three years.

Ronald W. Miller, 72, has been charged with criminal sexual penetration and criminal sexual contact of a minor under the age of 13.

According to court documents ,the girl had been spending summers at Miller’s home in the 900 block of Swartz Road since 2015.

On Monday, the victim disclosed to Miller’s wife that during her stay, Miller had reportedly subjected her to various sexual acts when the two were alone.

Miller was questioned by sheriff’s detectives on Monday before being transported to the Doña Ana County Detention Center where he is currently being held without bond.
