Police identify young men stabbed at Upper Valley house party

Police identified the two men stabbed at a house party early Tuesday morning.

El Paso West side patrol officers responded to a stabbing call at 607 Sunset at 1:40 a.m. Tuesday morning.

Officers found 21-year-old Cody Bennett and 18-year-old Omar Apodaca with stab wounds being treated by Fire Medical Services.

According to police, there was an argument between the attendees of a house party and both victims were stabbed. The stabber fled the scene prior to the arrival of officers.

Both victims suffered multiple stab wounds and were transported to University Medical Center in serious condition where they are being treated.

Crimes Against Persons detectives are investigating the stabbing.
