EPPD: Man brutally beaten, victim’s brother and father charged
Two men are behind bars after allegedly assaulting a member of their family.
65-year-old Antonio Garcia Sr. and 27-year-old Samuel Garcia are charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
Police responded to the fight Tuesday afternoon at a home on the 900 block of Raynolds near Montana in Central El Paso.
Officials say officers arrived and located the victim, 43-year-old Antonio Garcia Jr., unconscious and bleeding from his head.
Garcia was transported to University Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries.
Investigations by Crimes Against Persons revealed Garcia was brutally beaten by his brother, Samuel, and his father, Antonio Sr.
Police said the victim suffered lacerations to his mouth, ear, and right eye.
Authorities say both men fled the scene of the crime and were located Tuesday evening. Both were booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility.
Samuel Garcia’s bond was set at $150,000. Antonio Garcia Sr. had several outstanding warrants and bonds totaled $152,275.
