Suspect in custody after SWAT standoff in Far East El Paso near El Dorado High

A suspect in a SWAT standoff that happened Monday evening is now in custody.

The El Paso Police SWAT Team responded to a standoff on the 12600 block of Tierra Alzada in Far East El Paso.

Police said the incident appeared to be a case of family violence and shots were fired.

The standoff unfolded right next to El Dorado High School.

ABC-7 is working to get more information.
