Eclipse 2017 viewing events in El Paso and Southern New Mexico
EL PASO LIBRARIES
The El Paso Public Library invites the public to celebrate the total eclipse of the sun at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 21, at three library branches: Armijo, Dorris Van Doren and Jose Cisneros.
WHITE SANDS NATIONAL MONUMENT
A partial solar eclipse will be visible on August 21 at White Sands. Join rangers in the White Sands National Monument visitor center theater to learn about the history, including many misconceptions, of solar eclipses and ho they work. After the program, rangers will have a viewing station with information for viewing solar eclipses safely in front of the visitor center until the end of the eclipse at 1:15 pm. Hands-on craft activities for kids will be available from 12:00 pm-1:00 pm. Reservations are not required or accepted.
