EPPD: Hit-and-run driver assaults elderly woman who followed him after wreck

El Paso Police officers arrested a man accused of punching and choking a 65-year-old woman following a car wreck August 21, 2017.

Police charged Moises Gloria, 26, with “Injury to an Elderly Individual causing Bodily Injury.”

Police said an investigation revealed Gloria was driving an SUV when he collided with the victim’s vehicle.

Gloria allegedly fled the scene of the wreck, but was followed by the victim to the 7900 block of Monterrey.

At that location, Gloria exited his vehicle and allegedly punched and choked the woman.

The victim reported the incident to police and the Crimes Against Persons Unit obtained an arrest warrant.

On Tuesday, September 26, 2017, Gloria was arrested by CAP Investigators and booked into the El Paso County Jail. His bond was set at $80,000.
