More stores opting to not open on Thanksgiving
With less than a month before the official kick-off of the holiday shopping season, word is there are more stores that are opting to not open on Thanksgiving.
In recent years, the holiday itself had become the start of the shopping season as many stores opened in the late afternoon and evening.
The website BestBlackFriday.com updated an article online Thursday morning with a list of stores that it confirmed with retailer representatives will be closed.
The list has 75 retailers. Last year, Best Black Friday reported that 40 retailers would not open on Thanksgiving.
Some of the retailers staying closed on Thanksgiving have locations in El Paso, such as Cabela’s, Dillard’s and Marshalls.
