Construction moves Thanksgiving parade stands down Montana Ave

This year’s Thanksgiving Sun Bowl Day parade will have the grandstands at Montana and Dallas, little more than half a mile east of its usual spot.

The Sun Bowl Association decided to move the grandstands since it didn’t seem Brio-related construction close to the traditional area at Houston Park would be finished on time for the parade.

ABC-7 has reached out to Sun Metro, they are confirming whether or not the construction will be finished in time for the holiday.

The parade route will run along Montana from Ochoa to Copia. Parade-goers are recommended to head out early to get good parking spots. Tickets for the stands are available for purchase at a later date at the Sun Bowl Association Office & all Circle K Stores and FirstLight Federal Credit Union branches for $10.00.
