Operation Noel: Davis Family
Kryshawn Davis is a single mother of two.
Spend some time with her, and you will see she enjoys letting loose as she has fun with her kids. She’ll also admit her life isn’t all fun and games.
“I didn’t realize how hard it was going to be, trying to make ends meet, make sure they have what they need,” Davis said, “People don’t really know the struggle I’m giong through because I don’t let them in, but it’s serious.”
The children are the light of her life. “I just do what I can to make sure my babies have what they need,” Davis said.

Kylani, 3, is a little shy at first, but livens up when she gets to know you. Kyri is the talkative one.
Davis recently lost her job and her only mode of transportation.
“It’s a struggle trying to get the kids from point A to point B,” Davis said, “I’m currently in school and trying to find some employment, and at the same time, not short-change myself.”
The Davis family re-located to El Paso from San Antonio this year and is living in a room at Davis’ mother’s house.
“It’s really hurtful. My baby girl had holes in the bottom of her shoes and my mom saw it and said, ‘you want me to give you money for shoes?’ And I was like ‘no mom,’ and she got the money for the shoes.”
A tearful Davis told ABC-7 she really appreciates what her mother does for her children. She’s also thankful for the worker at Region 19 who helped her fill out an application for a new coat for each child from Operation Noel.
“I am blessed to have my two babies because whenever I feel down, my children lift my spirits and keep me smiling, keep me living to keep moving forward,” Davis said.

100% of your donations go toward buying new coats. As Operation Noel is a non-profit organization, our funds are raised through collaborative efforts with the HUB International, Mattress Firm, El Paso Times, and a mini-telethon on KVIA ABC-7 that will air November 30, 2017 at 6:30pm.
