3 charged with capital murder in connection to Horizon City murder investigation

Sheriff’s deputies arrested three suspects linked to a murder investigation in Horizon City.

Shawn Ezal Ramirez, 21; and Miguel Angel Ontiveros, 22, were booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility without bond.

Marcos Damian Porras, 23, was booked into the Doña Ana Detention Facility without bond. Porras is awaiting extradition to Texas.

All three suspects were charged with Capital Murder.

At approximately 11:06 pm on November 4, 2017, the Horizon City Police Department was dispatched to the McDonald`s parking lot at 13990 Horizon Boulevard in reference to an unconscious male.

When the police officers arrived, they located the male, who later died of his injuries.

On November 6, 2017, the El Paso County Sheriff`s Office Major Crimes Unit took over the case.

On December 12, 2017, an effort between the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, the U.S. Marshals Office and Homeland Security Investigations resulted in the arrests of all three suspects.
