EPPD: Woman arrested for DWI twice in 3 days, in possession of cocaine
The woman arrested for DWI twice in three days was also in possession of cocaine, police officials said.
Jessica Garcia, 34, was first arrested the morning of Saturday, January 13, 2018. Police officers in El Paso’s Lower Valley were checking on a vehicle stopped in the middle of the road on the 8500 block of Roseway.
Police officials said that during the investigation, officers found Garcia, the driver of a red 2014 Dodge Avenger, to be intoxicated. An investigation revealed Garcia was also in possession of cocaine, police said. Garcia was charged with DWI and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
At about 11:35 pm on Tuesday, January 16, 2018, police officers in East El Paso spotted Garcia driving a 2015 BMW M6. Police officials said officers pulled Garcia over because she was allegedly traveling 73 miles per hour in a posted 45 mile per hour zone in the 1300 block of N. Zaragoza.
The officers allegedly found Garcia to be intoxicated, police said. Garcia was placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated and booked into the El Paso County Jail on a $20,000 bond.
