Police identify man blamed for SWAT standoff in Northeast El Paso
El Paso Police identified Ricky Edmondson, 29, as the person responsible for a SWAT team standoff Friday night at a Northeast El Paso apartment.
Edmondson was wanted on a felony warrant, refused to surrender and barricaded himself inside his apartment on the 11000 block of Dyer, police said.
He was eventually arrested by SWAT officers, taken into custody and transported to an area hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Edmondson was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility for aggravated sexual assault in lieu of a $50,000 bond.
