UPDATE: EPPD say failure to control speed led to deadly lower valley crash
El Paso Police are not yet identifying the man who was killed in a single vehicle crash that happened in the Lower Valley Tuesday morning.
Reports say that the male driver of a 2016 Dodge Dart was traveling westbound on San Jose in the 8100 block approaching Carpenter at a high rate of speed.
The Dodge failed to get around the curve in the road and collided with a concrete wall. The driver died at the scene.
Police say that speed and failure to control speed are the contributing factors in this crash.
The identity of the male driver is pending.
