6-week I-10 ramp closure starts in West El Paso

The Sunland Park flyover ramp to eastbound Interstate 10 is scheduled to shut down for six weeks Monday, Texas Department of Transportation officials said.

Crews will be demolishing and rebuilding portions of the ramp until the April 30 scheduled completion.

Drivers can continue south on Sunland Park Drive to merge onto I-10 east at Paisano Drive, but TxDOT officials said to, at times, expect bumper-to-bumper traffic.

Mesa Hills and Doniphan drives, in addition to Mesa Street can be taken as alternate routes, but delays are likely to rollover.
