Hip-hop rapper and producer Russ to perform at Coliseum
The hip-hop rapper, singer-songwriter, producer and audio stream superstar Russ is coming to El Paso, announced officials with the El Paso Sports Commission Monday.
Russ will bring his “I See You Tour Part 1” to the El Paso County Coliseum on June 14.
Tickets, which will start at $36.95, plus fees, will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, March 30, at the Coliseum Box Office, all Ticketmaster outlets, by phone at 800-745-3000 and online at ticketmaster.com.
A ticket presale will get underway at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 29.
Citi Private Pass also will have a special presale on Tuesday, March 27.
Russ, born Russell Vitale in 1992, recorded his first song at 18, followed by several mixtapes and digital downloads. In 2016, he claimed his first hit, “What They Want,” which was recently certified double platinum. In 2017, his breakout year, Russ released his debut album, “There’s Really a Wolf,” reaching the Top 5 of Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop chart with the gold-certified “Do It Myself,” “Me You” and “Pull the Trigger,” as well as the double-platinum “Losin Control.”
The 25-year-old rising star surpassed 1.1 billion audio streams in the United States, making him one of Nielsen Music’s 30 most streamed artists of 2017. He has now reached 1.3 billion audio streams and accumulated 500 million video streams nationwide.
Russ continues to write, perform, produce and engineer all his songs himself. He recently performed to sold-out crowds across Europe, including Norway, Portugal, Spain and the U.K. His upcoming tour, produced by Live Nation, will include stops in Canada, as well as Boston, Detroit, and Oklahoma City.
