Trey Touchet leaves the UTEP Miners for McNeese State.

Senior guard Trey Touchet has left the UTEP Miners to return to his home state where he will be playing at McNeese State.

Winning The Gatorade Player of the Year in Louisiana as a senior in high school, he played 89 games in his career with the Miners.

The 6’2 guard will be greatly missed by UTEP for his ability to shoot and play defense.

Not only was he a veteran presence on the basketball court Touchet was a force in the classroom winning multiple academic awards from C-USA.

Touchet announced his departure on his Facebook page writing this, “New Home! Excited about the opportunity at McNeese State for my senior year.”

As a graduate transfer he will be eligible to play immediately next season.
