EPPD: Juarez man in possession of more than 50 pounds of marijuana
Investigators with the Source City Metro Narcotics Task Force arrested and charged a Juarez man allegedly in possession of more than 50 pounds of marijuana.
23-year-old Angel Giron was arrested shortly before 6 p.m. on March 28, 2018 on the 9400 block of Alameda.
Police said Giron was the operator and sole occupant of a blue 2000 Ford SUV. An El Paso Police K-9 allegedly located 40 bundles of wrapped marijuana inside the vehicle’s rear cargo area.
The total weight of the marijuana was 52.19 pounds, police said.
Giron was booked into the El Paso County Jail for Possession of Marijuana Over 50 pounds and Under 2000 pounds. His bond was set at $40,000.
