Chihuahuas drop second in a row to Salt Lake Friday
The Chihuahuas have now lost two in a row at home against Salt Lake after posting an eight-game winning streak recently.
The Dogs fell 7-5 Friday night at home after surrendering three runs in the top of the eighth, allowing the Bees to take the lead for good.
The Chihuahuas had rallied from a 4-1 hole to briefly take the lead before the Bees’ big eighth inning.
Franmil Reyes hit his fifth home run of the season for the Chihuahuas while Raffy Lopez connected on his fourth long ball of the year.
The Chihuahuas fell to 15-7 with the loss and now have a one-game lead over Salt Lake, which sits at 14-8 after back-to-back road wins in El Paso.
The two teams will meet for the fourth game in their five-game series Saturday night at 7:05 p.m.
