EPPD: 2 arrested for robbing Metro PCS; 1 was an employee

El Paso Police arrested two suspects in connection to an April robbery at a Metro PCS store.

Antonio Cardenas, 24, allegedly entered Metro PCS on 2920 N. Piedras Street with a knife and threatened two employees. Police say he ran from the scene and left the store with an undisclosed amount of money.

Upon investigation, police say an employee of the store planned with the Cardenas to commit the robbery. The employee, 19-year-old Rodolfo Escobedo, was arrested for his alleged involvement in the robbery.

Both suspects were charged with Aggravated Robbery and are being held at the El Paso County Detention facility. Cardenas is being held on a $150,000 bond and Escobedo on a $75,000 bond.
