UPDATE: Antonio Araujo leading polls for San Elizario mayor

Antonio Araujo is ahead in the polls with 55.06 percent of the votes for the mayoral race of San Elizario, according to the unofficial results posted Saturday night.

Incumbent Maya Sanchez trails with 42.13 percent.

In the race for Alderperson place 4, Maria Covernali is ahead with nearly 55 percent of the vote.

Alderperson place 5 is led by George Almanzar with nearly 52 percent of the unofficial election results.
