Chihuahuas fall to 20-20 on the season with 3-1 loss at Reno Tuesday

The El Paso Chihuahuas are back at .500 (20-20) after falling on the road at Reno Tuesday by a final of 3-1.

Socrates Brito hit a solo home run and drove in two of the three runs for the Aces in the game as Reno improved to 17-23.

The Chihuahuas’ lone run came in the top of the 8th on a Brett Nicholas solo homer. Nicholas also recorded a double and was the only Chihuahua to notch more than one hit Tuesday.

The Aces took three of the four games in the series.

Former Chihuahua Cody Decker and current Chihuahuas pitcher Luis Perdomo shared a nice moment in the top of the fifth. Perdomo laid down a bunt that went right to Decker along the first base line. Decker tagged Perdomo out and then proceeded to give him a hug as he turned toward the dugout.

El Paso will be off on Wednesday before returning home Thursday night to begin a four-game series against Fresno.
