Chihuahuas fall to Tacoma Wednesday despite two Renfroe homers

Hunter Renfroe hit two solo home runs, but it was not enough for the Chihuahuas Wednesday afternoon as they fell to Tacoma by a final of 5-4.

Renfroe, who has been rehabbing recently with the Chihuahuas, went 3-4 with those two solo blasts and an RBI single.

However, Tacoma got the win to improve to 24-23 while El Paso fell to 23-24.

Auston Bousfield and Luis Urias each added three hits of their own for the Chihuahuas. As a team, El Paso out-hit Tacoma 12-8.

Tacoma benefited from a big fourth inning in which they scored four of their five runs in the game and took a 4-1 lead.

The Chihuahuas will play once more at Tacoma tomorrow before heading to Fresno for a five-game series.

The Dogs will not be back home until Wednesday, May 30 when they host Sacramento.
