Police identify man, 88, struck and killed while crossing Dyer Street
An 88-year-old man died after tripping and falling into the path of an oncoming car, police said.
Jose Almaraz Garcia was trying to cross Dyer Street Monday night when he was hit by a 2008 Nissan Altima.
Police said Alamaraz was crossing when the light was red. He died at the scene.
Police said the driver will not face any charges.
This is the 19th traffic-related fatality compared with 17 at the same time last year.
