EPPD: Suspect runs over man at parking lot, fled scene

El Paso Police are seeking for help identifying a suspect who allegedly ran over a man at a parking lot.

Police say a man parked in a spot reserved for customers of Kike’s Motors at 7803 Alameda on April 28. The man was told by the victim’s mother that the sport was reserved for the business, authorities say.

During that time an argument ensued and the victim, 49-year-old Carlos Quintana confronted the driver of the vehicle, according to police.

The argument escalated and Quintana allegedly was trying to prevent the suspect from leaving. Police say the suspect ran over Quintana as he fled the scene. Quintana suffered serious injuries.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic male in his 20s and with dark hair. He’s approximately 6-feet in height.

Witnesses also described a blonde female in the passenger seat.

Surveillance footage captured images of the vehicle being driven during the incident, a dark green Ford Expedition with silver rims.

Police are asking anyone with information on the incident to call Crime Stoppers of El Paso at 915-566-8477. You can also submit tips online.
