Motorcyclist suffers serious head injury in crash

A Socorro motorcyclist suffered a severe head injury when he hit a curb and was thrown from his motorcycle, police said.

Alejandro Gallardo, 48, was heading east on Vista Del Sol Drive when he hit the raised curb about 2:20 a.m. Sunday in East El Paso.

Special Traffic investigators said Gallardo was not wearing a helmet. He was rushed to Del Sol Medical Center.
