3 men who escaped Curry County jail arrested in Clovis

Authorities say three men who escaped from an eastern New Mexico county jail have been arrested after a standoff at an apartment.

The Clovis Police Department says an anonymous tip Tuesday led officers to the apartment where they eventually arrested 28-year-old Victor Apodaca, 31-year-old Aaron Clark and 24-year-old Ricky Sena.

Before their arrests, the inmates were last seen Friday walking north from Curry County Adult Detention Center.

Police say shots were fired during the standoff, but it was unclear who fired a gun and whether anyone was injured.

Four hours after receiving the tip, police say the inmates surrendered.

Clark was accused of attempted child abuse and identity fraud.

Sena was facing charges of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and auto theft.

Apodaca was jailed on drug charges.
